Port Xpert Industry: STEM
The day trip immerses your students in the industry and the port with various activities. We use various working methods in which interaction is central.
- Introduction: brief introduction to the port
- Get to know a virtualized industrial process installation through VR glasses
- Visit to a (petro)chemical company or a company active in industrial services/piping in the port:
- introduction about the company
- speed date with different employees in STEM professions
- short tour of the company site or in the company

Target audience
Study areas: sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, industrial sciences, electro-mechanics, electricity, cooling and heating techniques, technological sciences, mechatronics and engineering.
Reserved for schools located within the core area of the Port Center: Waasland and the province of Antwerp.
