Transport XX: Mechelen - Auschwitz


Among the 27 Jews Transports of the Dossin barracks in Mechelen to Auschwitz-Birkenau the twentieth transport of April 19, 1943 is an exception in. Armed with a revolver, a hurricane lamp and red paper require three young students, Georges Livschitz, Robert and Jean Maistriau Frank Lemon stop on the route the train Mechelen - Leuven.
They can open a wagon before the guards respond, and at least 15 people manage to escape. Others manage to free themselves on their own and jump from the moving train. Eventually 232 deportees flee the twentieth transport.

This book presents the portraits of 1,353 deportees transport XX, and so tries to give to the people of this train a face.
