Workshop: Recognizing and stimulating entrepreneurship (h)

To acknowledge and stimulate entrepreneurship (h).

Target audience:

Teachers in higher education

General objective :

Entrepreneurship is about so much more than 'commerce' or 'money gain'. It has nothing to do with it at all. We will discuss the meaning of this concept and its importance. Subsequently, we want to set you up as an instructor in an (inter) active way to recognize and encourage entrepreneurial spirit in your educational practice.

Substantive content:

  • Based on research from the Center for Experiential Education (CEGO), we provide a clear conceptual framework on 'entrepreneurial spirit' (What is it? What are the components?), And we acknowledge its importance in higher education and society.
  • From your own educational practice you can start working as a teacher. We provide you with the necessary tools to:
To 'screen' the extent to which your own learning environment and educational practice stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit among students. From that screening you can formulate goals and action points.
  • To recognize entrepreneurship with your students and to respond to them in the right way.
