Minder zitten en meer bewegen
“Zit nu toch eens stil!” Hoe vaak heb jij dat gehoord toen je zelf naar school ging? En braaf op je stoel zitten was les nummer één op school. Misschien deden leerkrachten toen wel wat té hard hun best... Want kinderen en jongeren die regelmatig bewegen en het lang stilzitten beperken, ondervinden daar alleen maar voordelen van: ze zijn fitter, slapen beter, hebben minder kans op depressie, halen betere schoolresultaten en hebben een gezonder gewicht. Voldoende redenen dus om je leerlingen in beweging te krijgen. En daar staan leerkrachten vandaag echt wel voor open.
Stil op je stoel zitten heeft afgedaan. Maar wat kan je doen als leerkracht of directie? Hoe integreer je meer beweging in de lessen, de pauzes, op de speelplaats, tijdens de verplaatsingen en de tijd voor en na de schooluren?

Verschillende organisaties ondersteunen scholen met een divers en uitgebreid aanbod aan activiteiten, lesmaterialen, methodieken, bijscholingen en goede praktijken die kunnen inspireren om te werken aan minder zitten en meer beweging voor, tijdens en na school.
Op deze themapagina wordt dit aanbod samengebracht, zodat leerkrachten en directies eenvoudig de weg vinden naar de ondersteuning die ze op dat moment nodig hebben. Zo kunnen actieve, maar losse activiteiten evolueren naar een schoolbeleid waarin beweging en minder stilzitten alle kansen krijgt.
De organisaties
BVLO is een vakvereniging voor de professional in beweging. Voor sportspecifieke bijscholingen, kennisdeling en inspiratievoorbeelden ben je hier als leerkracht aan het juiste adres.
MOEV zet alles in het werk om alle kinderen en jongeren via de scholen te stimuleren om meer te bewegen, meer te sporten én minder te zitten. MOEV wil leerkrachten en schoolteams ondersteunen om leerlingen zoveel mogelijk aantrekkelijke bewegingskansen te bieden. Een sterk team van bewegingsexperten helpt scholen bij de ontwikkeling van een activiteitenaanbod, zorgt ook voor de ontwikkeling van vernieuwende educatieve materialen én voor een inspirerend aanbod van vormingsmomenten. MOEV legt het accent op beweging en sport als leermiddel.
Sport Vlaanderen is de sportadministratie van de Vlaamse overheid. Haar missie? Zo veel mogelijk mensen blijvend aan het sporten krijgen. Dat is geen gemakkelijke opdracht, maar met haar jarenlange ervaring en expertise gaat ze er 110 procent voor.
Vlaams Instituut Gezond Leven is het expertisecentrum inzake preventie, bevordering van een gezonde leefstijl en gezonde omgeving. Met bijzondere aandacht voor mensen in maatschappelijk kwetsbare situaties en gezondheidsongelijkheid. De werking naar onderwijs heet Gezonde School.
Campagne Wie sport, die wint
MOEV, Sport Vlaanderen en Vlaams minister van Sport en Onderwijs, Ben Weyts, lanceerden de campagne Wie sport, die wint. Met deze activerende slagzin willen ze kinderen en jongeren enthousiasmeren en stimuleren om meer te bewegen. Winnen met sport is zoveel meer dan een wedstrijd winnen. Je kan er je lichamelijke conditie mee op peil houden, maar het is ook de ideale manier om vrienden te maken, leerstof te verwerken, je hoofd leeg te maken … Alle volwassenen in hun omgeving spreken we aan om kinderen en jongeren te motiveren: leerkrachten, ouders, lokale besturen, federaties en clubs.
Opzij, opzij, opzij
Om leerlingen zin te geven in bewegen, biedt MOEV de een hedendaagse cover van ‘Opzij, opzij, opzij’ aan. Een aanstekelijk muzieknummer waarop ze onmogelijk kunnen blijven stilstaan. Metejoor zorgde voor de zang en Sarah Bossuwé voor de choreografie.
