E-mailen met elkaar: informatie en lesmateriaal
We communiceren op verschillende manieren met elkaar. Daarvoor gebruiken we allerlei tools en platformen. E-mailen is een van de meest ingeburgerde manieren om op een digitale manier met elkaar te communiceren. Hoe vaak sturen jouw leerlingen nog een e-mail?
Leerlingen gebruiken vooral chat, WhatsApp en Messenger
Want terwijl op je werkplek mails sturen naar je collega's de normaalste zaak van de (digitale) wereld is, mag het geen verrassing zijn als we zeggen dat je leerlingen via andere platformen communiceren met hun omgeving. Denk maar een diensten zoals chat, WhatsApp enz.
Schoolplatform?
Om op school, of ook buiten de schooluren, met elkaar in contact te blijven, zijn er verschillende tools op de markt. Zo kan je als leraar berichten sturen naar je klas, kunnen ouders online via de smartphone de punten van hun kinderen bekijken of bestaat de mogelijkheid om die lastige huistaak via mail in te leveren.
Mailen: do's en don't
Er komt het een en ander kijken bij mailen: de digitale schrijfregels (do's en dont's), je inbox beheren (antwoorden, opvolgen, klasseren ...), je adresboek met contacten onderhouden. Het is daarom niet slecht om in de les aandacht te besteden aan e-mailen als communicatiemiddel, ook in de praktijk. Dat kan je bijvoorbeeld doen – of net niet – op 24 november, dan is er namelijk E-mailloze vrijdag. Deze dag werd in het leven geroepen om mensen bewust te maken van de stress die e-mail kan veroorzaken.
