Nacht van de Duisternis: passend lesmateriaal
Op de Nacht van de Duisternis van 12 oktober 2019 doven verschillende gemeenten de verlichting voor een avond en kunnen inwoners even proeven van de rust en gezelligheid van een donkere nacht. Met deze nacht zetten Preventie Lichthinder en de Werkgroep Lichthinder (VVS) de impact van lichtvervuiling in de kijker.
Lichtvervuiling in de kijker
Want er wordt te veel en verkeerd verlicht. Constante verlichting op gebouwen of in ruimtes waar niemand komt, verlichting richting de hemel ... met energieverspilling als gevolg. Voor sommige mensen leidt dit tot slaapgebrek en gezondheidsproblemen, maar ook het bioritme van planten en dieren wordt hierdoor verstoord.
Doof de lichten in de klas
Doof thuis of op school de lichten en maak met buurtbewoners, vrienden en familie in plaats van een daguitstap, een nachtuitstap (kaarsjes en fakkels zijn toegestaan!). Stippel een leuke route uit, ga op stap en ontdek dat de wereld der duisternis veel verrassingen in petto heeft. Herken je de Grote Beer? Herken je andere sterrenbeelden? Kan jij vleermuizen, nachtvlinders of uilen spotten?
