Matthias (10) has to poke himself in class. He has diabetes. That means his body cannot convert sugar into energy, so he has to inject insulin five times a day. "I have to leave cake at my birthday party. Then I hate diabetes," he says. But wall climbing or going to the chiro, that's all possible. Matthias tells how to deal with diabetes, at home and in the classroom.
