Bakery Museum
The Bakery Museum is a museum and knowledge center for Flemish bakery heritage. In order to realize this commitment, the museum safeguards, maintains, researches and presents a collection that paints a clear picture of the artisan baker in the past centuries. The Bakery Museum is an inspiring and creative meeting place, where past and present enter into dialogue with each other. The museum is also a house of experience where it tastes and makes the bakery heritage together with its heritage communities.
The Bakery Museum is a child-friendly museum. Children in family and school settings (4-12 years) are therefore our main target group. The Bakery Museum offers various educational activities for children from pre-primary and primary education. We also have a lot in store for secondary school students. Depending on age, students can make bread, speculoos or chocolate figures.
A class visit to the Bakery Museum always consists of a workshop + a visit to the museum.
