Newspapers: Introductory Lesson
This entry-level lesson on newspapers is intended for OKAN students. After a brainstorming session, they define exactly what a newspaper is. They learn typical trade words. They name the parts of a newspaper and compare the prices of different newspapers. They read a newspaper of their choice and answer general questions about the content. They choose an article that they present orally to their classmates. They look at a number of titles and headlines. Finally, they make their own collage with newspaper clippings and photos. There is also a word search.
