Although the employer is ultimately responsible for the welfare policy in the company, employees must also take care of their own safety and health and that of their colleagues or third parties to the best of their ability. They too can (in principle) be held responsible or co-responsible for an accident at work of which a third or colleague employee is the victim. This information sheet provides a non-exhaustive overview of the statutory tasks arising from the welfare regulation.
