Virtual Reality in de klas
De voorbije jaren stortten grote bedrijven zoals Google of Facebook zich op virtual reality. De ontwikkeling van steeds meer verschillende VR-toepassingen en de toenemende populariteit van VR-headsets zoals de Oculus, HTC Vive of de goedkopere Google Cardboard doen vermoeden dat virtual reality zeker geen voorbijgaande hype is.
Maar wat kan VR betekenen voor het onderwijs?
Het gebruik van VR in de klas helpt niet alleen om de leerstof aantrekkelijker te maken maar verhoogt ook de betrokkenheid van je leerlingen en verbetert de leerresultaten. VR is bijvoorbeeld zeer geschikt om leerlingen virtuele excursies te laten maken. Virtual reality kan helpen om op school risicovolle taken toch op een veilige manier uit te voeren, bijvoorbeeld door leerlingen in de bouwsector op veilige manier op grote hoogte te leren werken in VR.
