Author readings by literary translators


This brochure presents 18 literary translators who give author lectures on the books of the authors they translate from Japanese, Chinese, Latin, Greek, Italian, French, Spanish, German, English, Polish or Portuguese into Dutch. Translators are the guardians of cultural dialogue. Today more than ever they are necessary bridge builders for a tolerant, open and inquisitive society. Thanks to the subsidized author lectures of the Flemish Literature Fund, you can now also bring in literary translators and discover for yourself how they provide inspired and inspired insight into the work of grandmasters such as Shakespeare, Homer, Murakami, or Patrick Modiano. You also get a unique insight into their translation dilemmas, tricks and discoveries. Thanks to the FLF you also receive a 100 euro discount on their authors' fee for this.
