Refresher course You are competent yourself: Trajectory visual arts music dance in academy Mechelen

This film gives an impression of the visual arts, music and dance trajectory that took place at the academy of Mechelen. The two teachers of the academy decided together to step out of their comfort zone and look for other disciplines that they would like to involve in their lessons. A research that resulted in a major experiment in which image, dance and music came together. One group of students created certain rhythms, another group of students followed a certain movement route through the class and another group made a large visual work with different materials. An experiment where little or nothing was predetermined.

This film is part of the in-service training course 'You are competent yourself!' on interdisciplinary working in Part-time Art Education. This process took place in the 2013-2014 academic year and was led by Mooss, organization for art and heritage education. Mooss embarked on these intense interdisciplinary processes with five academies (Eeklo, Vilvoorde, Mechelen and Knokke-Heist).
