In Flanders Fields Museum

The In Flanders Fields Museum tells the historical story of the First World War in the West Flanders front region. It is located in the rebuilt Cloth Hall of Ypres, an important symbol of wartime suffering and resurrection thereafter. The completely new permanent exhibition (opening June 11, 2012) tells about the invasion of Belgium and the first months of the war of movement, over the four years of trench warfare in Flanders - from the beach of Nieuwpoort to the Lys Armentières - about the end of the war and about the ongoing commemoration since then.
