Becoming information literate: Lesson package

Finding information on the internet is not always easy. Via search engines such as Google you can find a lot on the basis of a question or one or more keywords. But how correct and reliable is this information?

Through these two (example) lessons, students get started with the basics of searching the internet. They are given some basic tips for assessing information.

In addition to a lesson sheet (with ZILL goals), you will also find via this link:

  • a board plan (for the classroom and with extra explanation for the teacher);
  • a poster with tips for assessing information;
  • worksheets with (basic) exercises.
