Ouderbetrokkenheid
'Ouderbetrokkenheid is de betrokkenheid van ouders bij de opvoeding en het onderwijs van hun kind, zowel thuis als op school. Er is sprake van ouderbetrokkenheid als uit het gedrag van ouders blijkt dat zij zich (mede)verantwoordelijk voelen voor de schoolontwikkeling van hun kinderen.
Onder ouderbetrokkenheid valt ook de ouderparticipatie, de actieve deelname van ouders aan schoolactiviteiten. Bij ouderbetrokkenheid is goede communicatie tussen de school en de ouders onmisbaar. Positieve ouderbetrokkenheid is belangrijk, omdat het bijdraagt aan de leersituaties en het sociale gedrag.' (wij-leren.nl)
