The School Motivation Puzzle: A conversation tool for working with young people
Every young person sometimes goes through a difficult period in which school life does not run smoothly. Often they themselves do not find the words to indicate why things go wrong. “I don't know”, is the standard answer that counselors and parents get to hear.
Through the School Motivation Puzzle, the young person can easily give a clearer answer that offers tools to get started with for appropriate support. The visual way of presenting is also an eye-opener for the young person to take action.
PROFO vzw developed this tool in an extremely challenging period for education and welfare. The School Motivation Puzzle gives young people a voice so that supervisors and parents can take targeted steps together with them to increase motivation. This gives them the best chance of returning to school motivated and of preventing early school leaving.
The school motivation puzzle consists of 23 motivation puzzle pictures, a 20-page manual and a storage box.
