Arcade: Game Console Operation
In Arcade , students explore how game consoles work by looking at evolution and discovering how the data processing process is performed by the hardware. They are introduced to bits and bytes and do extensive research into image processing in video games.
The students go through the technical process to develop their own game controller and take a look at the characteristics and consequences of game addiction. This project focuses on a number of professions in the game industry: game designer, game developer and game tester.
